Clinton’s former campaign manager and pollster are critical of Obama’s re-election campaign and think he should change gears. That almost sounds nice until you read further into it and find that they think he should come up with a new economic plan that spends more and taxes more. Seriously.

People always say that Clinton and Obama are nothing alike. While I think that can be true to a certain degree if you want to split hairs, let’s remember that all of the federal government has been spending money like drunk Vegas vacationers and most of the time the argument between politicians is how the money is spent and rarely how much.

Clinton’s former aides believe that the message for his campaign doesn’t address the economy, and it needs to be more spendy. So, are they talking  spendy like his $800 billion stimulus plan? (Does anyone still remember that?!) Their suggestions include a new tax for those making more than 200K a year and more spending targeted at “protecting the middle class”. Sure, once again it sounds nice (to an idiot). However, the definition of insanity is repeating the same action expecting different results. Hello? Is anyone in Washington sick of the same stale cycle?
